The Human Trafficking Community Forum was a Success!

Human and Sex Trafficking in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and throughout country is big business. South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson spoke passionately at the all day Community Forum on Human Trafficking in North Myrtle Beach, that was held yesterday, about the crisis we are facing nationally, locally, and internationally. I was honored to play a small part as a panelist to discuss labor trafficking. There is so much we need to know … awareness is key; being a little curious about what we are witnessing, knowing who to call, what signs should we be looking at …To learn more about it and what resources are available go to:  http://www.scag.gov/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/poster.jpg

There was great coverage in the paper by the Sun News in Myrtle Beach… So happy they were there. Please check it out at http://www.myrtlebeachonline.com/news/local/crime/article107871137.html

North Myrtle Beach Hosts Human Trafficking Forum on October 12, 2016. Come Join Us!

Donusia Lipinski, the founder and CEO of Myrtle Beach Immigration Law Office, has been invited to participate on a panel that will addresses human sex and labor trafficking, as it relates to the resources available to trafficked immigrants.  This panel is part of a day-long event on human trafficking.

Victims of trafficking in South Carolina, vary widely and include citizens, non-citizens, males, females, children, and adults.  Often referred to as “modern day slavery,” human trafficking includes labor and sex trafficking, or both.  Very simply, this crime is people profiting from the control and exploitation of other human beings.

Many people are unaware that ‘continued presence’ and T visas are available to immigrant survivors of human trafficking. The T nonimmigrant visa allows victims to remain in the U.S. to assist federal authorities in the investigation and prosecution of human trafficking cases.

The Public is invited.
