Maria Caraballo, Executive Administrative Assistant

“We have become not a melting pot but a beautiful mosaic. Different people, different beliefs, different yearnings, different hopes, different dreams.”
Jimmy Carter

Maria Caraballo
Executive Administrative Assistant

It is an honor and privilege to serve immigrant families and businesses in my capacity as an Executive Administrative Assistant. Part of my responsibility is to create a welcoming atmosphere for our clients, so that they know when they enter our office, that they are safe, honored and respected; and that we will provide them with the professional, competent legal services, they deserve.

I grew up in a large family and was raised primarily by a single mom. My parents were born in Puerto Rico and I was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Being a single parent with many children was not an easy task for my mom. Fortunately, she was determined to give us the best life possible and was an excellent role model for all of us. Because of her, I am also bilingual, which has been of tremendous help to our Spanish-speaking clients.
I grew up volunteering in my community. It is my life goal to serve compassionately, empathically, and with integrity.
How do I serve our Clients: Each client is different, with a DIFFERENT STORY. That is why “empathy” is so important. Being able to feel what our clients feel and try to imagine what they are going through opens the heart with a desire to go “the extra mile”. Helping others is my innate nature. It is part of the fabric of who I am. My mother always volunteered her time to local causes. I was brought up with this same value and it has always been a rewarding part of my life.
Hobbies:
In my spare time I enjoy interior decorating. It gives me full satisfaction to know I have taken something and created it and have given it life through colors, shape, design etc. I also enjoy listening to music. My dad was a musician and singer in Puerto Rico, and he has left that part of his life in the hearts of his children. I enjoy reading because it exercises the mind. It helps me to use my imagination in ways that I never thought I could. There is always room for new hobbies.
